On behalf of the Nsukka Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, in collaboration with the Nsukka Professionals Association, Lagos, we’re deeply honored to have hosted the Business Forum on Rethinking Nsukka’s Economic Development Strategies, held on April 23, 2025, at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
Our mission was simple: to spark off dialogue and action that would unlock Nsukka’s economic potential. I am proud to say, we’ve taken a historic step forward.
We are grateful to Prof. Osita Ogbu, who chaired the event with clarity and conviction, challenging us to turn education into enterprise. I also thank Dr. Nathaniel Urama, who represented the Governor, H.E. Peter Mbah, for his insights and assurance that Nsukka is part of the state’s vision for growth. To our Keynote Speaker, Prof. Franklin Nnaemeka Ngwu, we say a big thank you for sharing your eye-opening wealth of experience with all. You’re a special gift to our zone!
A special thanks to Dr. Sam Maduka Onyishi, Founder, Maduka University, for sharing practical business strategies and inspiring the younger generation with his journey and wisdom. His presence was a highlight, and a reminder of what is possible when passion meets purpose. The presence of the Bishops of both the Catholic [Most Rev. Prof. Godfrey Onah] and Anglican [Dr. Aloy Agbo] churches in the zone entrapped the Holy Spirit, and their contributions set a new tone for the realization of our dreams. To our Patron, Igwe Ogadagidi, we lack enough words to appreciate your support.
We also marked a major milestone with the inauguration of the Women’s Wing of the Nsukka Chamber of Commerce, Industry Mines & Agriculture, a step towards inclusive growth and empowering women in business.
