Renowned security expert, Barr. Sam Otoboeze, CPP, has attributed the rising wave of insecurity in Nigeria to a combination of eroded family values, systemic corruption, and the proliferation of illegal arms across the country. Speaking at the Nsukka Journalists Forum (NJF) 2025 Conference, Otoboeze emphasized that national security challenges cannot be effectively tackled without addressing the moral and social foundations that underpin the nation’s stability.
He called for urgent and coordinated action among government institutions, communities, and the media to restore ethical standards, enforce stricter arms control, and promote social accountability. According to Otoboeze, “the family remains the first line of defense against moral decay,” and rebuilding that foundation is essential for curbing the insecurity that continues to threaten Nigeria’s progress.
The visit underscored Abia State’s unique status as the only state in Nigeria where residents consistently enjoy uninterrupted power supply, even when the national grid falters. The distinguished guests experienced first-class hospitality and top-tier security coordination, expertly managed by Abokus Security, the firm’s protocol and security partner. The event further reinforced Geometric Power’s reputation as a pioneering force driving energy independence and industrial growth in Nigeria.
